As you get ready to start your own Airbnb, you’ve probably noticed that Airbnb design can vary widely. Some Airbnbs are modern, some rustic, some eclectic…and some aren’t designed at all.
One thing that undoubtedly helped me gross over $85,000 my first year hosting was that I invested in a beautiful design that helps my Airbnb stand out from the vast majority of vacation rentals in the area.
The design at my Airbnb attracts more guests, allows me to command a higher price point, and helps me earn glowing reviews like this one:
“I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! The home was exceptional, modern, clean and comfy and Sabrina is truly the best host I’ve ever worked with. […] We’ll be back!”
To help you create your own highly profitable Airbnb, I’m showcasing three beautiful Airbnb decor ideas below. Plus, the items in this post don’t just look great, they’re also high quality and inexpensive–an Airbnb host’s dream!

Deciding On Your Interior Design Style
When it comes to picking which interior design style is best for your Airbnb, don’t sweat it too much! If you’re thoughtful about creating a high-quality short-term rental with a cohesive look and feel, I’m sure you’ll nail it.
That said, it’s helpful to do a little research before deciding on one specific style. Check nearby Airbnb listings to see what they’ve chosen. If you see things that are working well, implement them! At the same time, think about what will make your Airbnb stand out from the crowd. Be sure to consider your target guest, too, and what they’ll be looking for in an Airbnb.
Pro Tip: You might be tempted to choose a different style for each room in your Airbnb, but doing so can create confusion, a lack of cohesiveness, and doesn’t target one specific type of guest. Instead, blend two different styles to create one theme that works best for your Airbnb, but keep that one theme throughout the whole property–don’t change it room by room.
Cabin-Inspired Airbnb Decor Room Idea
If your Airbnb is ideal for a mountain getaway, then a cabin-inspired design might be best for your Airbnb.
Bed / Full-length mirror / Green Blanket / Khaki Blanket / Nightstand / Nightstand lamp / Pouf / Chair
A few of my favorite cabin-inspired Airbnb decor items:
Versatile blankets
This super versatile blanket comes in a variety of colors, making it perfect for any Airbnb. Place it at the foot of each bed, draped over a comfy chair, or folded over a couch corner to instantly make your guests want to cuddle up and relax.
Classic black pouf
Guests love nothing more than being able to kick their feet up and unwind while on vacation. This classic black pouf turns any chair into a comfortable spot to do just that.
Nightstands
As tempting as it may be, don’t skip having the right number of nightstands at your Airbnb. There’s nothing more frustrating than laying down in bed, realizing there’s no nightstand, and having to put your phone, water, and glasses on the floor. Every two-person bed at your Airbnb should have TWO nightstands. (That goes for your nightstand lamps, too!)
Full-length mirror
Believe it or not, a full-length mirror is a must-have at every Airbnb. If you don’t provide one, guests will ask you for one. Save yourself time later down the road by buying a full-length mirror now.
Stylish bed
The bed is the focal point of any bedroom. Your guests’ eyes will be drawn to it in your listing photos and they’ll expect it to be comfortable and sturdy throughout their stay. So, your bed needs to be both stylish AND functional–this beautiful bed is the perfect combination.
